Whiteknights FC

Our U6s Development Squad is the entry level to Whiteknights FC. The focus of the squad is on helping children discover football as a sport, a game and a passion.

At Whiteknights FC we subscribe to the FA’s Four Corner Model: at this age group, the most important element is enjoying football whilst building confidence, encouraging creativity and making friends.

We do this by running fun, age-appropriate skills training centreing on the FA Play Phase initiative. We encourage children to develop their technical skills whilst also learning skills such as teamwork, decision making, resilience and social skills that will serve them well not just in football, but in life.

We also teach children the rules of the game and instill a sense of fair play and sportsmanship. We do this by playing small-sided, 3v3 matches in line with the FA FutureFit programme. At this age group, we do not play any competitive matches in any leagues.

Interested in Joining
Our U6 Development Squad offers non-competitive football for both boys and girls who want to start playing football. We offer all new members two free sessions before signing up to the club.

The main squad intake is in September when the children start in Year 1 at school. Where there are training spaces in May, we may open up to Reception children who have already turned 5.
