Their first ever league game saw a heavy defeat for the Whiteknights bulldogs against a well organised and skillful Rotherfield Raptors team.
The Bulldogs put in a good defensive performance in the first half, with Xander excelling in goal, making some excellent saves. Rotherfield scored two well constructed goals, but the Bulldogs also had a couple of chances to score, their goalkeeper pulling off one excellent save in particular. And so the first half finished 2-0 to Rotherfield.
It was in the second half however, where Rotherfield managed to breach the Bulldogs defence on many occasions against a tiring side. Louis in goal for the second half worked hard, but the organisation of the Rotherfield team told in the end, with the game finishing 11-0.
So the Bulldogs go away to lick their wounds, some lessons learned.
