Whiteknights Football Club is an FA Chartered Standard Club based at the University of Reading. It comprises more than 250 children from in and around East Reading and further afield, making up 22 teams from ages 6 to 18.

We are a Community Amateur Sports Club (CACS) with the following objectives:

To provide facilities for and to promote participation in football in East Reading and to promote an interest and involvement in football as a team sport;
To provide an opportunity for children in the area to meet and take part in football activities, and to encourage equal participation regardless of ability;
To develop both football and social skills;
To foster the spirit of good sportsmanship and fairness whilst encouraging the pursuit of excellence;
To encourage parents to become involved in the activities and affairs of Whiteknights FC and in the development of skills in their children;
To arrange association football matches and social activities for our members

The older age groups (U9 through to U18) play 7-a-side, 9-a-side or 11-side league and cup football in the Berkshire Youth Development League and the East Berkshire Football Alliance League. We equally welcome boys and girls, with mixed training and competition across most of the club’s teams. We are also aiming to launch Girls only teams in the Berkshire County Girls Football League from September 2026

Our flagship event is our annual club football celebration day. As a football club without a home ground, the celebration day is a crucial opportunity for the whole Club to come together, form bonds and strengthen friendships, and have fun.
